| Category | A classification assigned to a drill representing the primary pool skill it exercises. Stats uses the category to determine what data to collect and what results to display. See Category Descriptions. |
| Drill | A specific table layout including cue ball positions, object balls, targets, and other ICATS elements. A drill may contain one Shot or many Shots. |
| Preshot Menu | Collects additional input before scoring begins. Applies only to Pattern and Aiming drills. Pattern drills require a style selection; Aiming drills allow selection of intended speed and spin. |
| Result | A statistic calculated by Stats from raw scoring data and displayed in the Results menu. A full list is in Results Definitions. |
| Results Menu | Displays lifetime statistics for the currently loaded drill, one row per shot, covering every result type applicable to the drill's category. |
| Scoring | The process of entering the outcome of an attempt using the Scoring menu. |
| Scoring Menu | The data entry interface displayed during a workout. Provides input widgets for each result type applicable to the current drill category. |
| Session | Created each time Stats is launched. Records the date, time, active user, and all scoring data from the workout. Sessions enable date-based filtering and progress tracking over time. |
| Shot | A specific combination of one cue ball position, one object ball, and one target within a drill. Stats calculates the total number of shots automatically (cue ball positions × object balls × targets). |
