The Stats Setup menu is accessible from the Menu Tab at the top of any Stats screen. It covers four areas: controlling attempts per shot, managing users, clearing statistics data, and exporting data for external analysis.

Max Attempts

The Max Attempts setting controls how many attempts Stats requires for each shot before advancing to the next. Values range from 1 to 10. The default is 3.

Choose a value that matches the drill type and your practice goals. Higher attempts give more data per shot; lower attempts let you cover more shots in a session. Per-category recommendations are in Workout Recommendations by Category.

User Mode

Single (default) — all results are attributed to a single user named "User1". This is the appropriate setting for an ICATS used by one person.

Multiple — enables multi-user tracking. Each time Stats launches, a prompt asks you to confirm the active user or create a new one. Results capture and all reporting then reflect the selected user only. This mode is intended for instructors tracking multiple students or for a shared ICATS system.

Clear

Warning: Both clear operations are permanent. Cleared statistics cannot be recovered.

  • Drill Stats — deletes all recorded statistics for the currently displayed drill only. Use this to reset tracking for a single drill without affecting any other data.
  • All Stats — deletes the entire statistics database for all drills and all users. Use with care.

Export

Stats data can be exported for analysis in external tools:

  • Flat File — exports a CSV file suitable for opening in Excel or any spreadsheet application
  • SQL Tables — exports a set of SQL table files that can be imported into a SQL database for more advanced querying
