Shortcut Keys Disabled During Stats
While Stats is active, the shortcut keys associated with Balls and Tools are disabled. This prevents accidental edits to the drill layout during a scored workout.
Most other keys remain available. Pressing B still blanks the projector display so you can shoot without visual hints. Mouse movement and clicks also remain active, allowing text boxes to be expanded or collapsed as needed.
Saving a Drill That Has Statistics
If you modify and attempt to save a drill that already has recorded statistics, Stats will display an extra warning before allowing the save. This is because changing the drill layout can invalidate the associated statistics — for example, if the number of shots or their positions change, historical data may no longer correspond to the current layout.
When this warning appears, two options are available:
- Save with a new filename — preserves both the original drill and its statistics while creating a new drill with the updated layout
- Overwrite — save over the original if the changes are minor enough that the existing statistics remain meaningful
Choose carefully. Overwriting with significant layout changes will corrupt the historical data for that drill.
Transition Primary Filter Definition
The Transition category uses a hybrid primary filter that differs from the single-result primary filters used by other categories. A successful Transition requires all three of the following conditions to be met simultaneously:
- Aim = Good — the object ball was pocketed
- Distance Off Target = 0 — the cue ball landed inside the target zone
- Scratch = No — the cue ball did not scratch
The Transition primary filter in the Filters menu represents this combined condition. A shot only counts as fully successful when all three criteria are satisfied.
DOT (Distance Off Target) Units
Distance Off Target is measured in diamonds throughout Stats — both during results capture (the Targ Dist widget) and in Filtering (the Dist. Off Target filter values). Keep this in mind when interpreting distance values in Results and Filter displays.
