Intro
Congratulations on your purchase of the ICA Training System (ICATS)! With the included drills, availability of professionally developed content from ICA and notable 3rd party experts, and the ability to create your own drills, you will be able to hone the strong points of your game and step-up the weak points to the next level!
If you want to learn how to use the ICATS drawing tools to create Drills, or to adapt existing Drills to your needs, refer to the ICATS Drill Author's Guide. The rest of this document is about using your ICATS in your day-to-day practice sessions and will take you step-by-step through how to use your ICATS!
Initial Setup and Calibration of your ICATS
Setup, first time power-on, and calibration of your ICATS is covered in the ICATS Installation Guide.
Powering On and Shutting Down your ICATS
Powering On
Powering on your ICATS is as simple as turning on power. Most ICATS will have a switch on the power cord. ICA cannot always acquire power supplies with switches, so your ICATS could require a separate switch, or the old-fashioned "unplug/re-plug". If you completed the shutdown procedure below (and the Red LED is still on), you may have to turn off power and then turn back on ("fresh" power on) to restart your ICATS. Having turned on power, the ICATS system will automatically start into the ICATS program, briefly display the ICATS Logo, then display the last drill you had loaded.
Shutting Down
While just "removing power" usually works, it can sometimes cause the SD Card in your ICATS to fail and hence is not recommended.
To properly shut down your ICATS, Right-Click on an open area of the table, Left-Click on the "Quit" menu tab and Left-Click "Shutdown". After about 10 seconds, the Green LED will stop flashing and the ICATS has shut down. You can then either remove power, or you can just leave the ICATS in this state (Red LED remains on, but the ICATS is shut down).
