Calibration
Calibration is the process by which ICATS adjusts for projector position and table size, to perfectly fit images to your table. With the Calibration screen, calibrating your ICATS to your table is simple!
First, select your Projector Mount, "Side" or "End", depending on the position of your projector at the side or end of the table. "Side" is the default, and is appropriate for the projector bundled with the ICATS products.
On your pool table you will have an image similar to the one on your phone, with four lines and four circles. The goal is to have the circles perfectly centered on the 1x1 diamonds, making the lines on the table surface align perfectly with the associated diamonds (as on your phone screen).
To perform calibration on your ICATS, follow these steps:
- Select a calibration handle
Click a calibration handle (circle) on the screen, which will highlight it in "yellow".
- Move the handle to its diamond intersection
Click the large triangles to make large adjustments and move the calibration handle on the table to the appropriate 1x1 diamond intersection. Click the small triangles to make small adjustments.
- Repeat for all four handles
Select another calibration handle and repeat step 2 until all four handles and lines are correctly positioned.
- Reset if needed
If calibration gets "messed up", use the "reset" button (circular arrow icon) to reset to default calibration settings and begin again at step 1.
- Save calibration
When satisfied, press the green "Checkmark" button to complete calibration and return to the Settings screen.
