Pattern Breakdown Drills
You can build your own Pattern Breakdown drill using standard ICATS tools.
Follow these steps:
- Place object balls using number keys.
- Draw pocket lines for each object ball.
- Press Ctrl + N to add a PBall.
- Position the PBall at the desired leave for Shot 1.
- Repeat for each shot in sequence.
- Right-click a PBall and select Track.
- Draw the cue ball path.
- Double-click to end the track line.
- Adjust tip position and speed indicators for each PBall.
- Press s to save the drill.
PBalls are automatically numbered in sequence.
For proper operation of Pattern Breakdown Drills, Track Lines must be used for every Pattern Ball to Object Ball to landing zone shot.
Pattern Breakdown drills will not cycle correctly if Aiming Lines alone are used.
Keep layouts clean and intentional. Each PBall defines the next landing zone. Poor PBall placement creates unrealistic transitions.
