Text Boxes

Some drills include a Text Box with instructions or additional context about the drill. On the table, a text box appears either as readable text inside a bordered rectangle, or as a minimized icon showing a small square with a T inside it.

To expand or collapse text boxes, tap the Text Box button on the Tools screen. Collapsing a text box is useful when the annotation is covering part of the table layout you need to see.

QR Codes

Some drills embed a QR code in place of a text box, linking to supplementary video or written content. A minimized QR code appears as a small square with QR inside it.

The same Text Box button on the Tools screen expands and collapses QR codes. Expand the code to scan it with your phone camera.

Pattern Balls

A Pattern Ball (PBall) is a hybrid display element used in Pattern Breakdown (PB) drills. It combines the function of a Cue Ball position marker with an Aiming Ball, showing both where the cue ball should travel and how to strike it for the next shot. Pattern Balls are displayed at 4-ball size, which also serves as a target zone for the cue ball leave.

Each PBall displays:

  • Tip position — where to place the tip on the cue ball
  • Speed indicator — stroke speed for this shot
  • Shot number — which shot in the sequence this PBall represents

When a Pattern Breakdown drill is loaded, use the right arrow on the Tools screen to advance to the next shot, and the left arrow to go back to the previous shot.
