Powering On

In most cases, powering on your projector with its remote control is all that is needed. After the projector starts, the QR code appears on the table and you can connect via EZUI.

If the QR code does not appear after the projector is on, press the ESC key on the keyboard to force it to display.

If your ICATS was fully shut down (not just in Standby), power it on in this order:

  1. Power on the projector using its remote control.
  2. Apply power to the ICATS unit.

Most ICATS units have a switch on the power cord. If yours does not, a separate switch or unplugging and replugging the unit is the method to apply power. After a short delay, the QR code will appear.

Shutting Down

Shutting down is a two-step process. Complete both steps in order.

Step 1 — Shut down the ICATS

Open the Settings screen in EZUI and use the Power control. Two options are available:

  • Standby — Recommended for most sessions. ICATS continues running at low power and displays the QR code, ready for your next session.
  • Shutdown — Use this when you want to fully remove power from the ICATS. After selecting Shutdown, wait 30 seconds before removing power.

Warning: Do not remove power from the ICATS without first selecting Standby or Shutdown from the Settings screen. Simply cutting power usually works, but it can occasionally corrupt the SD card inside your ICATS, which may require repair.

Step 2 — Turn off the projector

After putting the ICATS into Standby or Shutdown, use the projector remote to turn off the projector. Turning off the projector after each session extends the life of the projector bulb.
